After I spent the summer abroad I returned to the UK and instantly moved into my second year house for university. My living situations weren’t ideal and I found myself feeling the worst I have had in a while. My friend from home was travelling round Europe, when he knew about my displeased state he invited me to visit him whilst he is in Salzburg. I booked the ticket within an hour of him first mentioning it. I remember leaving my house late at night after Halloween weekend, I got catcalled twice in the rain despite being completely covered; my worse mood only got worse as I climbed onto the coach. I lulled myself to sleep and tried to get excited for my trip. I was a walking zombie up until we were landing and I first saw the mountains. The mountains were the healing power I needed as I finally felt remotely human again, I remember the trip fondly even if my mood was not the best; I’m sorry to the friend that I visited, I was not in the correct mental space to socialise but I did not realise it at the time, only after.
